BALOTRA

BALOTRA

Originally a turban craft rooted in the celebration of monsoon, Laheriya is a tie-dye tradition from Rajasthan. The animation inherent in dyed stripes results in a sense of movement akin to rainfall.

ā€˜Balotra’ silk sari features dyed stripes in red and rani pink punctuated with white, drawing from 'Pachranga', which is a Laheriya striped pattern composed of five colors. With a two-toned piping, this sari is reversible and either end of the textile can form the palla.

This handwoven textile reflects natural variations within yarn, color, weave and/or embroidery.

The sari is paired here with the 'Ahmadi' blouse.

Blouse is not included.
