BEAWAR & ALSISAR

 'Beawar' Varanasi silk brocade lehenga is woven with black silk and gold zari. It is paired with the 'Alsisar' black silk satin blouse. Their borders echoe the marble inlay work seen in Mughal architecture - embroidered in zardozi, along with silver and gold gota appliqué, speaking to the Ganga Jamuni tehzeeb of the Awadh. 

This handwoven textile reflects natural variations within yarn, color, weave and/or embroidery.

The lehenga is paired here with the 'Bagseu' odhani.
